The Twilight movie opened in theatre's on November 21st 2008. The movie was a huge hit and made the most money out of chick flicks since Titanic. It made an insane 70 Million on it's opening weekend!

To many of the fans of Twilight, the movie was good and lived up to the book, but I have to disagree. I'll admit, I did enjoy the movie all the times I saw it in the theatre, but that was not nearly as good as I'd hoped it'd be. I know the main characters are Bellla and Edward, but the other characters deserved more than what they got. Not to mention how many scenes and important quotes they left out.

The movie's acotos had a lot to work up to and had to become the characters of the Saga that the fans have made into a phenonion amoung books. But I have to say that Robert Pattinson is not my vision of Edward. Sure, a lot of people find him attractive but is he really your Edward? My theory is the only reason he's given Zac Efron a run for his money is because he is plaing the character Edward, not because he is the boy of everyones dreams. (Note: I am not a Zac Efron fan).

And Kristen Stewart wasn't the Bella I'd imagined, however she pulled off the part. The movies' made my images of the characters become blury and unfocused (which bugs me).

The other actors did fine as well. Only reason I went all out on Bella and Edward was because they are the main characters. They should have been working the hardest out of the entire cast.

My favourite cast member is without a doubt was Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria). She was so enthusiastic about playing Victoria for Twilight. Her enthusuasim made her acting for the character so much better. She was determined to live up to the fans expectations and she pulled it off. Only thing hat bugged me was that her hair wasn't red enough. It didn't need to be dark red but an orange-red.

The other characters of the book (Alice, Emmett, Jasper etc) deserved more spotlight. There was so much context with them in the book and in the movi they seemed more like extra's than main characters. I was disapointed that there wasn't as much Alice in the movie as in the book. (I'll admit Alice is my favourite character) Even Carlisle and Esme didn't have much on screen time.

There was a lot of quotes and parts of the book that they left out of the movie. One being the "I'm betting on Alice" quote. That quote is huge (kinda over used now) but still, I was looking forward to that line. Also in the hospital, when Edward kisses Bella, what happened to the equipment beeping because her heart stopped?

The movie was still good, even with all it's flaws. I would recommend you go see it, unless by the time you read this it's on DVD, then go rent it.
